About the Candidate

LALO DIAZ

Eulalio “Lalo” Diaz Jr. is a lifelong resident of Uvalde County and a dedicated public servant with more than a decade of experience on the bench.

Since January 1, 2015, Lalo has served as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4, earning a reputation for fairness, accessibility, and professionalism. In that role, he has worked closely with families, law enforcement, and county officials, often during some of the most challenging moments our community has faced.

Lalo believes public service is about trust, responsibility, and showing up for people when it matters most. His decision to run for Uvalde County Judge comes from a desire to restore confidence in local government and ensure county leadership is focused on real solutions, not politics.

As County Judge, Lalo is committed to responsible budgeting, strong emergency preparedness, open communication with residents, and economic development that respects Uvalde County’s history and values.

Why I’m Running

Uvalde County has faced difficult challenges, and now more than ever, we need calm, purpose-driven leadership that unites our community.

I am running for County Judge because I believe local government should be transparent, accountable, and focused on serving people. I will work to strengthen public safety, manage county resources wisely and fairly, and ensure residents have a clear voice in county decisions.

This campaign is about restoring trust and moving Uvalde County forward together.

My Priorities as County Judge

  • Fiscal responsibility is the foundation of good county government.

  • Water is the lifeblood of Uvalde County. Our future depends on protecting this precious resource for our families, farms, ranches, businesses, and future generations.

  • Ensuring Uvalde County is prepared, coordinated, and responsive in times of crisis.

  • Access to quality healthcare is essential to a thriving community.

  • Good infrastructure improves public safety, supports economic growth, and enhances our quality of life.

  • The government works best when citizens are informed and involved.

  • The county government should operate efficiently while providing excellent service to every citizen.

  • The County Judge serves an important judicial role, and every citizen deserves a court system that is fair, efficient, and accessible.

    Voters return Lalo to office, reaffirming their trust in his integrity, fairness, and commitment to public service.

    Appointed to the Texas Justice Court Training Center Education Committee

    Lalo is appointed to serve on the State of Texas Justice of the Peace Education Committee, joining nine other Justice of the Peace judges from across Texas. In this role, he helps develop training and curriculum for new and experienced judges statewide.

    Reelected by the Voters of Uvalde County


    Lalo is once again elected by the voters of Uvalde County, continuing more than a decade of steady leadership and service on the bench.

    Reappointed to Appointed to the Texas Justice Court Training Center Education Committee

    Recognized for his experience and leadership, Lalo is reappointed to continue shaping judicial education and professional standards across Texas.
